Position Overview

The Manager, Contracts, reporting to the Associate Director of Contracts and Vendor Management, integrates across departments to create essential contractual study-related documents. The Manager oversees a global Contracts team, ensuring the fulfillment of contract development, management, and negotiation. Critical traits for this role include the ability to handle high-volume workloads, meet deadlines, and manage client interactions effectively. The role, which is open to remote applicants within the US, has preferred working hours from 8-5:30 pm Eastern.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this pivotal role cover managing the entire contract lifecycle, developing and updating contracts, negotiating terms, ensuring the progression of contract deliverables, contributing to process enhancement, and supervising workload deadlines. The Manager is also accountable for data entry and the continuous improvement of contracting standards and policies, along with providing leadership and direction to the Contracts team.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 7-10 years of experience in managing contracts from initiation to execution. Experience in developing contractual documents is an advantage, as is former leadership experience, ideally on a global scale. Proficiency in MS Suite and familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management and Customer Relationship Management systems, such as Conga and Salesforce, respectively, are preferred. The position requires someone who is a self-starter with strategic thinking, excellent organizational skills, and the capacity to work well both independently and within a team.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers an annual salary range of $86,000 to $95,000, commensurate with the candidate's location, experience, and qualifications. Employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including healthcare and retirement plans, along with PTO and company bonuses, where applicable.
