The Opportunity at Silvus

Silvus Technologies is on the lookout for a Sales Engineer - DoD to integrate with their Sales, Marketing, and Business Development teams to supply customers with customized solutions. This role encompasses involvement in technical sales, conducting product demonstrations, and contributing to product development discussions. The Sales Engineer will report to the Director of Sales Engineering and has the option to work remotely. Ideal for a technologically adept individual who appreciates customer interaction, adventure, and travel.

Role and Responsibilities

The Sales Engineer's responsibilities include providing both pre-sales and post-sales technical support, mastering the company's radio and networking solutions, troubleshooting field issues, analyzing failures, and participating in product development and demonstrations. This position involves frequent travel to meet customer needs and support business requirements.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field, a minimum of five years in technical support roles, and proficiency with RF instruments. U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite due to government contract obligations, and the willingness to travel and physical capability to handle equipment are necessary.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Additional favorable qualifications include familiarity with Linux, networking protocols, experience with IP radios/modems, knowledge of wireless communication systems, and programming skills. Excellent organizational and communicative abilities are also sought after.

Salary and Employment Details

The salary range for the position is $70,000 to $100,000 annually, dependent on the applicant's background and qualifications. As a federal contractor, Silvus mandates U.S. Person status for all potential employees, with the stringent need for U.S. Citizenship for certain roles. Employment is based upon a successful background check.
