Senior Business Consultant Position Overview

The Senior Business Consultant is responsible for delivering training and consulting services to clients on implementing Jenzabar's software systems. This role requires an individual who is proactive, able to work independently, and ready to travel. Candidates will engage with various aspects of Jenzabar's J1 Student Information System and must be committed to continuous learning.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include consulting with and training end users on the Jenzabar J1 Student Information System, performing project tasks with minimal supervision, and adhering to established project methodologies to achieve deliverables. The consultant will need to work well both independently and within a team to meet project deadlines while communicating effectively with Jenzabar and client project teams. A deep understanding of the client’s needs and business practices is vital to ensure optimal software configuration and use. The role also involves vigilant follow-up, developing comprehensive project documentation, staying informed of industry trends, and actively participating in knowledge-sharing within the team.

Preferred Skills and Experience

A BS or BA degree or comparable experience, with at least five years of overall experience and three of those years in higher education, is preferred. Expertise in functional areas such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, Advising, Student Life, or the Business Office will be beneficial. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to work well in team settings, and a comfort with evolving technologies. They should be able to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical end users, and possess robust problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective listening skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $60,000-$80,000 per year, which may be adjusted based on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. An annual bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package, is part of the total compensation for this role.
