Responsibilities and Duties

The Senior Science Writer will be charged with leading internal research and development (R&D) communication initiatives. This includes crafting newsletters and organizing department-wide communications in collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. A significant part of the role is preparing scientific and clinical manuscripts for publication in top-tier journals, involving writing, editing, and proofreading. The writer will also manage conference materials, including abstracts and posters, ensuring timely document generation and adherence to both external and internal guidelines.

Additionally, the position demands proactive collaboration with authors to ensure adherence to publication standards such as the Good Publication Practice (GPP) and International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines. This responsibility extends to performing literature searches and supporting the creation of other technical documents as needed.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Candidates are expected to have an advanced degree in biomedical or life sciences, with a minimum of two years' experience in scientific or medical writing within an industry setting. Strong verbal communication, scientific writing, and organizational skills are essential. The role requires the ability to interpret and translate scientific literature for diverse audiences, and familiarity with real-world data, human genomics, clinical research concepts, computational biology, and/or oncology.



Preferred qualifications include experience managing diverse projects, competency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Suite, as well as knowledge of generative AI and health economics. Familiarity with genomic data standards, data reproducibility, and archiving are also advantageous.
