About the Brand Copywriter Role at Figma

Figma is on the lookout for a talented Brand Copywriter who has a knack for working with cross-functional teams to establish creative and compelling connections with target audiences. The ideal candidate should be passionate about both embodying Figma’s unique brand voice and maintaining grammatical precision. In this full-time role, you'll work from one of Figma’s US hubs or remotely within the United States, contributing to the dynamic synergy between the Brand Studio and Marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

As a Brand Copywriter at Figma, you'll collaborate closely with peers from Brand Studio, Product Marketing, Growth, and Research. Your primary objectives will include co-shaping and executing product launches, campaigns, and marketing initiatives that resonate with Figma’s audiences. You will also work in partnership with visual designers, motion designers, and strategists to elevate the collective storytelling experience of the brand.

Your tasks will involve creating original and strategic concepts from their inception to execution. A proactive acquisition of knowledge about Figma’s products, target audiences, business goals, and market dynamics is crucial. This understanding will be your toolkit for developing superior communications that consistently align with brand standards. Additionally, you will create and disseminate effective work processes among fellow team members, encouraging ongoing feedback and iterative improvements.

Candidate Requirements

Successful applicants should possess a minimum of four years’ experience as a copywriter in brand and marketing environments, alongside a portfolio showcasing their work. Proficiency in both receiving and dispensing constructive feedback is essential, as is the ability to navigate and solve ambiguous challenges. Independent work capability, coupled with the willingness to actively seek feedback throughout the creative process, is vital.

While not mandatory, experience in design or familiarity with Figma and SaaS environments is advantageous. At Figma, we value continuous growth—emphasizing a culture of learning and development. Hence, applicants who might not meet every qualification but are eager to learn are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

Figma’s Pay Transparency Disclosure highlights that, for roles based in the San Francisco or New York hub offices, the annual salary ranges from $102,000 to $215,000 USD. Compensation is determined based on several factors like qualifications, role impact, and location. Remote roles receive location-adjusted pay. Figma provides a competitive compensation package, inclusive of equity, various health benefits, retirement plans, generous PTO, development stipends, and additional perks such as stipends for working from home and cell phone reimbursements.

Figma stands committed to fostering an inclusive work environment rich in diverse thoughts and experiences. The company maintains an equal opportunity hiring policy, welcoming candidates regardless of race, color, gender, and other protected statuses. Figma provides reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the employment process, ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity not only to secure a role but to excel in their job tasks.
