Role Overview

The Email Marketing Specialist at GoHealth Urgent Care is a pivotal position reporting directly to the CRM & Email Marketing Manager. This role is integral to developing a high-performing, personalized, and data-driven email marketing strategy aimed at enhancing patient engagement and promoting overall growth initiatives for the company.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing and Optimization

The specialist will be at the forefront of managing the creative direction of email designs and executing marketing campaigns. The process involves meticulous planning, ideation, building, and testing of emails. Crucial tasks include obtaining timely approvals from leadership on all content, acquiring or creating necessary assets, and ensuring writing and proofing of copies are done efficiently.

Collaboration with the CRM & Email Marketing Manager and internal teams is essential to construct and optimize email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The specialist is also responsible for managing the email campaign calendar to guarantee timely and accurate campaign deployment. Other tasks include developing innovative email templates and creative designs in partnership with design and content teams, implementing advanced testing strategies, and solving workflow issues to maintain project schedules.

Furthermore, the role demands strict compliance with laws and regulations such as HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, CPCC, and GDPR, ensuring that all email campaigns adhere to these standards.

Analytic Reporting

Another critical aspect of the role involves supporting the CRM & Email Marketing Manager in analyzing email campaign performance. The specialist is expected to provide detailed analysis, identify trends, and offer actionable recommendations to enhance campaign effectiveness. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is necessary to pinpoint conversion roadblocks and improve customer journeys. The specialist will apply data-driven insights to continually test, measure, and optimize the email marketing program, contributing to regular reports and presentations to stakeholders.



Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess 1-2 years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or 3-5 years in similar email and marketing automation systems, with 1-2 years focused on marketing roles emphasizing email production and design. A thorough understanding of HTML/CSS for email and coding best practices is essential.

The candidate should exhibit expertise in email best practices related to copywriting, design, segmentation, personalization, and deliverability. Experience with email governance and performance optimization, as well as familiarity with compliance regulations including managing opt-in rules and preference centers, is crucial.

Strong analytical skills are mandatory, particularly in A/B testing methodologies, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage various tasks in a fast-paced setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams are also necessary.

Preferred Experience

While not required, having a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Credential or other Salesforce certifications can be beneficial. Experience with platforms like Datorama and Google Analytics is preferred, along with proficiency in SQL and AMPscript for advanced personalization.

Industry experience in healthcare or retail is advantageous, as is familiarity with cross-channel marketing strategies involving SMS and direct mail campaigns.
