The opportunity allows the Senior Environment Artist to collaborate closely with designers and other artists to create high-quality props and immersive environments that transport players into new realms. The role emphasizes proactive involvement in early project stages by rapid prototyping and blockouts to define the visual style's direction.
Your key responsibilities will include working alongside a team of designers and artists to create immersive game environments. You will devise high-quality asset props using both existing game assets as well as library assets. You'll collaborate to enhance world layouts, optimize assets for performance without sacrificing quality, and contribute to improving environment art pipelines and workflows.
SkyBox Labs seeks candidates with over five years of experience in creating high-quality environments and prop assets for games. Proficiency in 3D modeling software like Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, and Substance is required, along with a portfolio that showcases a wide range of work, from stylized to realistic.
