As an Android Developer, you will:
Prospective candidates should have a minimum of five years of experience in developing native Android applications. Proficient knowledge in Kotlin, Compose UI, Android Architecture Components, and MVVM is essential. Familiarity with Android SDK performance tools, source control systems like Git or SVN, and experience in agile product development environments is critical. Additionally, candidates should understand the nuances of packaging, signing, provisioning mobile applications, and working with mobile hardware SDKs like camera, accelerometer, GPS. Experience in troubleshooting analytic platforms is a plus.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Wear OS, Android TV development, and interest in Android Auto/Automotive. Expertise in mobile space API architecture, performance optimization, or client architecture is desirable. A solid grasp of user-centered design principles and UI best practices, along with an affinity for AccuWeather's brand and weather content, is beneficial.
