SmartLogic, a rapidly expanding software development consultancy, is seeking skilled Software Developers proficient in Ruby on Rails and/or Phoenix/Elixir. Since launching in 2005, SmartLogic has steadily built a reputation for delivering successful projects and fostering engaged, dynamic teams.
Our commitment extends beyond our employees and clients, reaching into the communities we serve. Our initiatives span youth workforce development programs, software developer apprenticeships, and micro grants initiatives for women in tech among many others. We believe that a career with SmartLogic will provide a fulfilling experience.
At SmartLogic, diversity in our clients and projects ensures engaging and challenging experiences. From startups to large nonprofits, local governments, and small/medium businesses, we offer a broad spectrum of projects. Project duration can range from one month to several months, with few clients working with us consistently since 2010. To provide a focus-driven environment, we aim to assign developers to just one client assignment at a time.
As a Software Developer, your role encompasses writing robust, maintainable code, collaborating with project managers, product designers, and developers, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to SmartLogic’s continuous journey of technical enhancement. Professional expertise in Ruby on Rails and/or Phoenix/Elixir is a prerequisite, along with exceptional communication skills, team-oriented mindset, and proficiency in decomposing client requirements into implementable actions. A passion for learning and remaining up-to-date with industry developments is highly desirable. Comfort with participating in agile ceremonies and an interest in Flutter for mobile app development would be advantageous.
We have a transparent career map with salary bands for different development levels. This position is completely remote with benefits like health, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited PTO and sick leave, paid parental leave, and a 3% matching SIMPLE IRA program. New hires receive a $500 home-office setup allowance and $600 annually towards work-from-home expenses.
At SmartLogic, professional growth and community involvement are central to our ethos. We offer plenty of opportunities for learning, including dedicated professional development days, participation in conferences and access to resources. Our investment in local and online communities is reflected in our participation in events and meetups.
