This position is for a Wordpress Developer, who is primarily accountable for improving platform scale, building new features, improving existing code and resolving bugs.

Common Responsibilities

This position will involve a number of tasks including triaging bugs and small enhancements that come into GitHub, scoping, writing and testing new product features and addons, refactoring legacy code with particular attention to backwards compatibility, providing feedback and peer review for other developers and communicating with the team and supporting peers using chat, audio, and video.


The applicant is required to have professional experience with Wordpress plugin development, architecture, and standards. An advanced proficiency with PHP and MySQL, including modern PHP practices (OOP, autoloading, namespacing, traits, interfaces, etc). Additionally, strong familiarity with JavaScript is required, as is the ability to use and extend build tools like gulp and webpack. Competency with git and GitHub version control is necessary, with the ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly and with exceptional troubleshooting skills. Previous experience with freelance or remote work is also needed.
