Timescale is seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager with a strategic, creative mindset and experience in developing technical content to lead its marketing initiatives.

Job Description

Timescale, a developer-centric company, is seeking a seasoned Senior Content Marketing Manager for its marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will take responsibility for creating compelling content for the company’s marketing collaterals such as websites, ad copy, landing pages, ebooks and whitepapers.

Top candidates should adapt well in a fast-paced environment, be equipped with experience in partnering with design and development teams and ideally should possess skills in creating video and interactive content. The candidate will gain bonus points for having experience with cloud product marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

The main duties of the role include, but are not limited to, using performance insights, competitive and market analysis in defining the content marketing strategy for the website and other digital channels. Leading content execution and maintaining a high level of editorial oversight while being consistent with the brand's tone and messaging. Other responsibilities encompass carrying out content audits, identifying gaps, running A/B tests, and optimizing content to improve user journey and increase engagement.

Requirements

The role requires fluency in spoken and written English, collaboration with team members to monitor and improve SEO performance using keyword research, and keeping up with industry trends. The candidate will also need to manage contractors and deliver projects on time.

About the Candidate

Desirable candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in content marketing, particularly developer-focused marketing. This individual should have exceptional written and verbal skills, attention to detail, and an ability to make data-driven marketing decisions. Moreover, this candidate should exhibit proficiency in planning, conceptualizing, creating, and scaling projects independently, demonstrate an analytical mindset with enthusiasm for problem-solving, and demonstrate experience in SEO, keyword research, and optimization.
