About The Role

The Protocol Engineering Team at Pagoda oversees the core infrastructure of the NEAR Protocol blockchain. The principal software engineer will handle architectural design, implementation, and system maintenance, and will play a critical role in innovative problem-solving and industry disruption. Candidates will also mentor peers and coordinate with the engineering manager on technical roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecting and implementing blockchain components using Rust.
  • Driving end-to-end ownership of blockchain features.
  • Optimizing blockchain performance for scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborating with the open-source community and participating in events.
  • Partnering with management on team goals and technology strategies.
  • Mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • Experience in complex systems, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Proficient in high-level design concept development.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in concurrent systems.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of blockchain internals, Rust, cryptography, compilers, or networks.
  • Experience with smart contracts or managing blockchain nodes.

Interview Process
