About the Lead Creative Writer Role at Faire

Faire is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Creative Writer to become part of its Brand Studio team. This role is not just about writing but is also strategic, requiring the individual to conceptualize and execute a variety of creative projects. These projects can range from brand campaigns, product launches, branded content, paid ads, social media engagements, and more, across both global and regional scales.

The ideal candidate for this role is a conceptual thinker with a strong background in brand storytelling. They are expected to work closely with brand designers, art directors, and creative operations to deliver world-class creative solutions from brief to launch. The Lead Creative Writer will take ownership of projects, partner with in-house teams, freelancers, and external agencies while maintaining Faire's unique brand voice and ensuring high-quality storytelling.

Team and Environment

The Brand Studio team, a creative and multidisciplinary group within Faire, is responsible for building and evolving the Faire brand. This team is part of the larger design organization that encompasses product design and research, providing a dynamic and collaborative work environment for the Lead Creative Writer role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and executing branded experiences, campaigns, events, activations, digital campaigns, and more.
  • Collaborating with various teams to develop creative solutions and launching them globally.
  • Advocating for excellent brand storytelling and attention to detail in all creative executions.
  • Driving projects from concept to launch and fostering a culture of storytelling and creativity within the team.
  • Establishing an authentic and unique voice for Faire's brand.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in copywriting or creative writing with a portfolio showcasing brand narrative understanding, and excellence in voice and storytelling across various mediums.
  • Proficiency in crafting compelling messages and narratives for long and short format content.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to inspire stakeholders.
  • Experience in script writing and generating ideas for films and social content.
  • Ability to think both strategically and in a detailed manner.
  • Proven track record with integrated campaigns for various marketing channels while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • A collaborative and growth mindset, with a good sense of humor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range

The role offers a generous salary range of $97,500 to $134,000 per year in Canada, along with eligibility for equity and benefits, subject to experience, skills, market demands, and work location.
