Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a Data Scientist specializing in Python to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have both the training and the curiosity needed to make significant big-data discoveries and will be tasked with building the necessary resources to facilitate these findings. Critical coordination of activities will also be a part of the role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive Python-based production pipelines for machine learning models.
  • Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor the health of our software systems.
  • Utilize Python web frameworks, like FastAPI, to create data applications for deploying algorithms and models.
  • Construct and maintain analytical and production data marts for enhanced reporting and analytics.
  • Work in collaboration with data scientists, business analysts, and management to develop a cutting-edge business intelligence suite.
  • Conduct ad hoc data analysis using SQL and MongoDB to investigate large datasets from diverse sources.
  • Support and manage the ongoing maintenance of existing data software products, applications, and interfaces.
  • Focus on writing reusable, testable, and efficient code, while integrating multiple data sources and databases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience with advanced machine learning algorithms in real-world applications.
  • Robust foundational knowledge in various ML approaches and techniques, including neural networks and Bayesian methods.
  • Proven experience in developing semantic textual similarity pipelines, with a strong background in embedding techniques and NLP.
  • Expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt design, and model fine-tuning techniques.
  • Familiarity with graph and vector databases is essential.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry will be an added advantage.

Technical Skills and Strengths

  • Proficient in Python and R.
  • Knowledge of DevOps/MLOps practices.
  • Experience with SQL databases like MySQL, as well as MongoDB or other non-relational databases.
  • Understanding of Flask/FastAPI frameworks for developing applications and production pipelines.
  • Adept at designing and working with REST APIs and microservices.
