Key Responsibilities
This position entails a variety of key responsibilities that drive the success of Pendo's enterprise sales strategy, including:
Enterprise Deal Leadership: Act as the lead for complex enterprise opportunities, coordinating with cross-functional partners such as Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Legal, Product, and executive leadership. Maintain alignment and clear strategy while ensuring swift movement through the sales process.
Executive Relationship Building: Develop and uphold strong relationships with C-level executives, IT, and business leaders in organizations with 1,500+ employees. Understand their priorities and connect Pendo’s value to significant business outcomes.
Value-Based Selling: Conduct sales cycles aimed at addressing important business challenges and supporting digital transformation initiatives. Shape value narratives, assist clients in making complex decisions, and propose Pendo as a strategic partner.
Sales Methodology and Forecasting: Utilize MEDDPICC and Force Management principles to manage complicated sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. Identify risks early and maintain strong deal hygiene for accurate forecasting.
Account Strategy and Expansion: Formulate and implement multi-year account strategies to amplify Pendo's presence within enterprise clients and identify high-impact growth opportunities.
Pipeline Generation: Stay proactive in generating and maintaining a high-quality pipeline through strategic outreach and account development efforts. Own pipeline health and ensure opportunities arise from disciplined outreach.
AI-Enabled Productivity: Leverage AI tools to boost sales performance and improve engagement processes, constantly seeking practical ways to enhance communication and decision-making.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must have the following qualifications:
Proven record of success in enterprise software sales, specifically in selling SaaS or application software within large organizations.
Familiarity with MEDDPICC and/or Force Management methodologies, applying them to manage multifaceted sales cycles.
Capability to generate a sales pipeline independently through strategic prospecting and account development.
Experience in leading deal teams across various departments to finalize enterprise agreements.
Comfort with AI tools to enhance sales productivity and customer engagement.

Compensation and Benefits
The expected On-Target Earnings (OTE) for the Account Director position ranges between $280K and $320K, with a 50/50 base-to-variable compensation split.
