Job Purpose

The role of an Account Representative (AR) is pivotal within the Sales Team at Great Minds. An AR collaborates closely with an Account Solution Manager to propel business growth within their assigned region—not just to pursue new clients but also to support and maintain relationships with existing customers. This position plays an essential role in promoting the organization’s mission to enhance access to quality education for all students.

Responsibilities

Pre-sales work encompasses an array of tasks, including:

  • Scheduling appointments and qualifying leads
  • Conducting discovery calls, and managing customer queries and concerns
  • Sampling and demonstrating products
  • Actively hunting for new business through outbound prospecting, involving cold calls and email campaigns
  • Responding to incoming leads and inquiries within the sales territory
  • Maintaining renewal business with existing customers, ensuring they retain subscriptions to consumable and digital materials
  • Achieving goals related to cross-selling and upselling
  • Developing key relationships with stakeholders such as Curriculum Directors, Coaches, Principals, and Superintendents
  • Understanding clients' health regarding their implementation of Great Minds products to facilitate appropriate training and support referrals
  • Creating solid cross-company relationships within the organization to align efforts with departments like Product, Success, Marketing, and Business Operations
  • Conducting virtual presentations via Zoom to prospective clients.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of successful direct sales experience or 3 years in the education sector with notable skills in influencing decision-making processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A highly organized self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in presenting Great Minds products effectively to various audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail along with proactive problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, notably Salesforce.
  • Experience in K12 classroom teaching, professional development, or sales is advantageous.
  • An independent yet collaborative work ethic.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards.

Required Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, or liberal arts is preferred, or equivalent business experience.

Employment Status and Salary

This is a full-time position where remote work is offered, specifically home-based in California. The expected base salary range for the Account Representative role is between $52,000 and $58,000. It’s noted that the final salary may be adjusted based on various factors including location, work experience, skills, and considerations of internal equity. This base salary is exclusive of other potential benefits and financial incentives.
