Job Overview

As an AI Software Engineer at Ascertain, you will play an integral role in the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven applications. Responsibilities

Your daily tasks as an AI Software Engineer will include:

• Designing and developing scalable back-end services utilizing Python and FastAPI.
• Building foundational Large Language Model (LLM) agents for integration into products.
• Supporting infrastructure management through tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
• Collaborating with product managers and customers to align AI developments with practical requirements.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges as they arise.
• Participating in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.
• Mentoring junior developers and fostering an encouraging engineering culture.
• Contributing to the establishment of internal best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Required Skills

To be a suitable candidate for this role, you should possess the following:

• At least 5 years of back-end development experience, specifically with Python.
• Practical experience in building and monitoring production-quality machine learning and AI systems.
• Knowledge of RAG frameworks and agentic workflows.
• A strong grasp of database technologies, including PostgreSQL, graph databases, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows involving Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform is essential.
