Documentation management: Ensuring that contractor documentation is submitted and approved in a timely fashion, along with maintaining accurate records to support long-term site operations.
The ideal candidate will possess a mix of technical and interpersonal skills, including:
Strong communication abilities: Proficiency in both written and verbal communication is vital for effectively presenting ideas and engaging with senior management.
Analytical mindset: Experience in budget analysis and forecasting is a plus. You should be logical and analytical, showcasing the ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions.
Interpersonal skills: Being a team player is essential, as you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams. Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills have a significant impact on the project's success.
Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial when managing various project facets and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately.
Ability to work under pressure: Demonstrating an ability to meet tight deadlines is paramount, showcasing your reliability in a fast-paced environment.
While a degree in engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory. Membership with the Association of Project Managers (APM) or familiarity with APM’s Body of Knowledge principles would be advantageous.
