Job Responsibilities

As an Associate Quality Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team. The primary focus of your role will include:

  • Creating testing-related documentation such as test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports to assess quality and associated risks.
  • Collaborating with the automation group to enhance regression coverage through feature automation.
  • Triage automation results, contributing to the assessment of software quality.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of the product and conducting quality assurance tests to verify outcomes within set timelines.
  • Collaborating effectively with software engineers, product managers, and other QA testers in an Agile team environment.

Required Skills

The following skills and qualifications are necessary for prospective candidates:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Applications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in coding with Java or mobile languages.
  • An understanding of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, as well as tools and approaches for both black box and automated testing.
  • Relevant educational or work experience in software development and/or software test automation.
  • Curiosity and a strong capacity to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills

While not mandatory, possessing the following additional skills can enhance your candidacy:

  • Experience with Cypress.
  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience using Atlassian products like Jira, Greenhopper, and Clover.
  • Understanding of modern best practices in software development.
  • Experience in Mobile Testing and Automation tools such as Appium, XCUI, Espresso, or KIF.
  • Background in Mobile Application Development on platforms like Android or iOS.
