Key Responsibilities

As an AWS Data Engineer at Fynity, your primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Leveraging various big data tools such as Apache Kafka, Spark, and Airflow to deliver scalable data solutions.

  • Building data pipelines with cloud-native services on AWS, including AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, Redshift, and API Gateway.

Required Skills

Fynity is looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Proven hands-on experience in data engineering projects, showcasing a strong technical background in the field.
  • Good practical knowledge of designing, implementing, and debugging ETL pipelines, which is critical for processing data efficiently.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and SQL is essential for this role.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Spark and Airflow to facilitate strong data management practices.
  • Experience with designing data pipelines utilizing cloud-native services on AWS is necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge of various AWS services, particularly API Gateway, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, and CloudWatch, will be crucial for success in this role.
  • Candidates must have Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience in deploying AWS resources using Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience developing CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions is also required.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be aware of the SC Clearance criteria as this role requires specific security measures. Applicants must meet the following criteria for SC Clearance:



  • Must be a British Citizen or have resided in the UK for at least five consecutive years.
  • A detailed employment history for the past 10 years or longer may also be required during the vetting process.
