In this capacity, the Benefits Specialist will be responsible for a multitude of functions, primarily involving:
Overseeing day-to-day benefit operations: Managing various benefits administration tasks related to leave and accommodations for regional entities.
Providing exceptional service: Acting as a key point of contact for employees and People Business Partners for queries related to benefits and any escalated issues.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Working alongside payroll, systems, and outside vendors to ensure accurate data management, particularly focusing on HRIS tools such as Workday.
Leading annual processes: Managing the annual renewal and enrollment phases which include implementing any necessary changes to plans, systems, and vendor partnerships.
Conducting market research: Launching ad hoc benefit programs and projects, taking into consideration the global expansion of benefits with the assistance of the benefits broker.
Staying informed of legislative changes: Ensuring compliance with both regulatory requirements and internal policies related to benefits and leave.
Managing leave policies: Ownership of the accommodation and leave policies in the region, ensuring they are well-defined and up-to-date.
Contributing to overall strategy: Actively contributing to the People and Culture team to drive best practices that support the company’s objectives both in the short and longer terms.
Leading change management: Effectively communicating and managing transitions relative to benefits and leave programs to enhance employee experience.
Applicants should possess the following qualifications to be considered for this role:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience specifically focusing on benefits and leave management, especially with an emphasis on international programs.
In-depth knowledge of international benefits laws and market trends to design and communicate engaging benefits programs.
Proven experience in managing benefits across various countries, showcasing a strong understanding of complexities involved in international operations.
A successful track record of leading and implementing global projects and managing vendor relationships effectively.
Exceptional communication skills that facilitate clear interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside the ability to work proactively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Competency in analyzing data to provide insights regarding benefits and leave that inform decision-making processes.
