Key Responsibilities

The BNG Sales & Innovation Lead will have a dual role focusing on commercial sales leadership and innovation team management:

Commercial & Sales Leadership

  • Lead the sales of high-integrity Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) units to major corporate developers.
  • Collaborate closely with project developers to secure strategic landowner contracts, ensuring their commitment to long-term nature recovery.

  • Oversee the execution of frameworks like the National Grid, maintaining the company’s status as a Tier 1 partner and ensuring that corporate sales are optimized.

  • Work with the Innovation Team to find bespoke buyers for flagship sites, merging BNG with broader natural capital projects.

Innovation & Team Management

  • Act as a line manager for a dedicated Innovation Team, ensuring that the development projects are aligned with real market demands and client needs.
  • Advise on technical tools and advancements like AI applications to improve external reporting and internal workflows, keeping Ecosulis aligned with cutting-edge technology.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial role within Natural Capital, Land Agency, or Ecology.
  • Proven leadership skills to guide technical teams toward commercial objectives.

  • Strong literacy in using digital tools such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and how they can enhance value for BNG clients.

  • Expertise in negotiating complex legal and financial agreements.

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Land Management, or Business is essential, and professional accreditations such as RICS, CIEEM, or IEMA are advantageous.
