The Brand Copy Lead will have several key responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
Develop & Own Brand Voice: Define, refine, and uphold Bobbie’s unique voice across various channels, ensuring that it remains consistent yet flexible to suit different audiences.
Manage a Messaging Ecosystem: Evolve and maintain a comprehensive brand style guide and messaging sources to ensure alignment across all business sectors—including external partners.
Write & Edit Across Channels: Strategically lead the messaging and execution across multiple platforms—email, video, packaging, ads, campaigns—adapting tone and style as necessary.
Script Video Content: Collaborate with video editors and animators to create and refine a high volume of video scripts aimed at marketing and brand storytelling.
Mentor & Edit a Team: Provide guidance and oversight for both current and future writers to ensure that they produce top-quality copy.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with marketing, creative, and product teams to ensure messaging aligns with the overall brand strategy.
Ensure Strategic Messaging Alignment: Keep all stakeholders up to date on messaging priorities and frameworks.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
Experience: At least 10+ years in brand copywriting, preferably within CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), eCommerce, or startups.
Portfolio: A robust portfolio showcasing compelling brand designs, product placements, or social campaigns which include end-to-end conceptualized works and video scripts.
Brand Management: Proven experience in building and managing a brand style guide to maintain messaging consistency across organizations.
Editorial Talent: Firm editing skills with an exceptional eye for detail and an ability to uplift the writing of other contributors.
Collaboration: Skillful communicator who thrives in a dynamic environment and can work well with art directors and leadership teams.
