Opportunity Overview

CACI is actively looking for an experienced and highly motivated Buyer of government property to join their team supporting the Software Open Architecture Development Team at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The role is integral to supporting mission requirements and entails working closely with other team members to fulfill procurement needs effectively.

Job Responsibilities

As a Procurement Analyst, your duties will include:

  • Collaborating with a diverse team to anticipate and meet procurement requirements.

  • Receiving and reviewing purchase requests, obtaining and evaluating quotes, and securing necessary approvals.

  • Examining requisitions, creating bid requests, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to users.

  • Preparing and presenting procurement reports to stakeholders.

  • Supporting shipping and delivery processes for equipment and materials.

  • Maintaining detailed procurement records, tracking items or services purchased, costs incurred, and delivery information.

  • Optimizing procurement processes by applying best practices and strategies for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and compliance.

  • Promoting a culture of accountability, integrity, and innovation within the procurement team.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Required Skills

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for a security clearance, specifically TS/SCI.

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma coupled with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.

  • A solid understanding of federal procurement regulations including FAR/DFARS and a demonstration of compliance with these requirements.

  • Possess an analytical mindset to evaluate supplier performance, associated costs, and risks while using data-driven decision-making skills.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities, essential for maintaining partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders.

  • Proven critical thinking abilities to forecast procurement delays and mitigate associated risks.

  • Knowledge and experience related to purchasing and authorizing payments for merchandise in line with contractual agreements.

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for managing various priorities and ensuring clear updates to stakeholders.

Desired Skills

The following skills are considered advantageous:

  • Experience navigating the process of submitting IT hardware and software for approval through U.S. Army and Department of Defense (DoD).

  • Familiarity with the Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) purchasing process.

  • Knowledge of Department of the Army (DA) receiving procedures and forms, including DD 1149, DA 3161, and DA 2062.

  • Previous experience using CACI's Procure to Pay (P2P) purchasing tool.
