The Calibration Certificate Reviewer will engage in several primary activities:

Certificate Review & Verification

  • The Reviewer will need to conduct reviews on a representative sample of calibration certificates, focusing on technical accuracy, traceability of measurements, and correct representation of uncertainty statements.
  • They will ensure these certificates meet clearly defined formatting and integrity standards as per the Accredited Labs Quality Management System (QMS).
  • The role includes identifying and documenting any reoccurring errors, advancing the need for follow-ups with branch management and quality personnel to correct systemic issues.

Branch Support & Training

  • Providing technical feedback to branch staff and calibration technicians is another core activity. The Reviewer will log findings to create a clear feedback mechanism.
  • Assisting in developing training materials that address certificate content, usage, and reporting is critical for maintaining consistent quality across branches.
  • Collaborating with the Quality & Technical Support Specialist, this role will also involve conducting virtual training and coaching sessions.

System Integration & Continuous Improvement

  • There will be a requirement to work alongside the IndySoft Integration Team to recognize issues surrounding software configuration, workflow gaps, and challenges that arise during data migration processes.
  • This function emphasizes the importance of continuous improvement not only in operational procedures but also in system functionalities. By participating in user acceptance testing of new IndySoft features, the Reviewer will play a crucial role in enhancing user experience across the system.

Quality System Support

  • It is essential for the Reviewer to maintain compliance with quality standards such as ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1.
  • This role will support regional and corporate quality audits by keeping accurate records of any certificate reviews and corrective actions undertaken.
  • Additionally, this reviewer will generate periodic report summaries for the Regional Quality Manager, highlighting any trends in certificate errors or related training needs.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

Education

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field such as Metrology or Engineering is preferred. However, equivalent practical experience will be taken into account.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in calibration laboratory settings or a metrology-focused environment is essential. Hands-on experience with IndySoft or similar calibration management software is highly favored, reflecting familiarity with industry standards.

Key Skills

  • A solid understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 and principles of traceability is vital. The ability to comprehend various calibration disciplines across temperature, pressure, electrical, dimensional, force, weighing, and torque measurement is required.
  • Strong attention to detail is crucial, along with analytical skills for interpreting calibration data and measurement uncertainties effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data review tools, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills to drive collaboration across branches.
