Collaboration: Work closely with the Business Development Representative to create a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities aimed at securing closed deals.
Sales Prospecting: Utilize cold calling, email campaigns, and attendance at industry conferences to generate new sales leads.
Lead Qualification: Qualify inbound leads and engage prospects through various communication channels—phone, email, face-to-face meetings—to understand their project needs.
Client Communication: Interact effectively with clients to gather essential project scope, budget, and timeline information, facilitating the advancement of qualified opportunities through the sales cycle.
Sales Reporting: Keep meticulous records of all sales activities through web-based CRM systems like Salesforce and HubSpot.
Proposal Generation: Collaborate with internal operations teams to create pricing proposals for clients.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to assess competitive positioning and identify differentiators that may offer advantages in sales engagements.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Operate effectively in a dynamic startup atmosphere within the software space, adapting quickly to emerging challenges and opportunities.
Pipeline Management: Provide accurate pipeline forecasts to ensure a high closed-won ratio across the region.
Achieving Quotas: Meet annual sales quotas set by the FOS Sales Organization.
Customer Service Excellence: Work with Construction Account Managers to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring smooth contract renewals.
Internal Process Development: Assist in setting up internal sales processes and work towards eliminating barriers in the sales pipeline.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Sales Experience: A minimum of 8 years in a sales role, preferably within the construction industry.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territories will be necessary.
Organizational Skills: Must demonstrate strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills, especially in ambiguous situations.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities, and a proven record of presenting to senior management.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is crucial for successfully navigating the sales and procurement processes.
Public Procurement Knowledge: Familiarity with public procurement policies and standards, especially regarding master service contracts, cooperative purchasing impacts, and various bidding types (IFB, RFP, RFQ, etc.)
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is essential.
Job Order Contracting Experience: Familiarity with Job Order Contracting processes and IDIQ contracting may provide an added advantage.
