To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following prerequisites:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not count).
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Preferred candidates will have the following:
A Master's Degree.
Over 7 years of experience in at least one of the key programming languages mentioned earlier.
3+ years of experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure).
3+ years of experience building and designing scalable data pipelines.
Expertise in distributed data/computing tools like Spark or Databricks.
Experience of 2+ years in data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake).
Management experience of at least 1 year.
Familiarity of 2+ years with Agile practices.
The salary range for this full-time position is competitive. The annual salary for a Lead Software Engineer at Capital One varies based on location, with a range of $175,800 - $200,700 for remote work. This compensation package may also include performance-based incentives, which can encompass cash bonuses or long-term incentives based on the appropriate plan.
