Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

To qualify for this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not count).
• At least 1 year of experience in cloud computing through AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate may also possess:

• A Master's degree.
• 9+ years of experience in at least one programming language: Node.js, Go, or Python.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS specifically.
• 3+ years of experience in security and performance tuning for internet-scale microservices.
• 3+ years of on-call experience pertaining to internet-scale microservices.

Compensation

The salary for this role varies depending on location, with the following ranges:

• Remote (Regardless of Location): $204,900 - $233,800 per year.
• For McLean, VA location: $225,400 - $257,200 per year.

Candidates hired in different locations will receive a tailored salary based on their local market rate. The position is likewise eligible for various performance-based incentives that may include cash bonuses and long-term incentives (LTI).
