Key Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be expected to:

  • Execute full-cycle claims tasks, which include First Notice of Loss (FNOL) intake, coverage verification, reserve setting, and liability determination.

  • Simulate real-world workflows utilizing structured tools and mock systems such as Guidewire ClaimCenter and Xactimate.

  • Review and synthesize third-party documentation, including police reports, medical records, and vendor estimates.

  • Draft structured outputs like coverage memos, repair estimates, and liability assessments.

  • Identify inconsistencies or red flags in claim statements and documentation.

  • Evaluate claim compliance, document regulatory deadlines, and assess communication quality.

  • Flag fraud indicators and recommend Special Investigations Unit (SIU) referrals when necessary.

  • Document all work clearly to ensure auditability and for quality review processes.

Ideal Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates should ideally have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience handling various claims: property, auto, bodily injury, or general liability.

  • Familiarity with systems like Guidewire, Duck Creek, Xactimate, Hyland OnBase, or FileNet.

  • A deep understanding of coverage interpretation, state compliance standards, and claims file documentation.

  • Experience in reviewing third-party documentation, such as police reports, medical summaries, or contractor estimates.

  • Strong written communication and analytical skills.

Work Schedule and Commitment

The role is designed to be remote and asynchronous, allowing the professionals to control their own work schedules. The expected commitment is a minimum of 30 hours per week over approximately six weeks.

Compensation and Contract Terms

The compensation for this role is competitive, with rates ranging from $100 to $150 per hour. This position operates under an independent contractor arrangement, and candidates can expect to be paid weekly through Stripe Connect.
