The Role of Compensation Manager

Responsibilities of the Position

The Compensation Manager will have a broad array of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

1. Compensation Strategy & Planning: The successful candidate will spearhead the development and implementation of compensation strategies. This includes activities such as system preparation, comprehensive data analysis, and the presentation of insights designed to align with Angi’s broader business objectives.

2. Data Management & Integrity: The role will oversee the management and integrity of data for the compensation team. This includes ensuring accuracy across multiple compensation programs and periodically conducting audits within Angi’s HRIS (Human Resource Information System).

3. Reporting & Dashboarding: The individual will support ongoing reporting and dashboarding processes for the wider People team and business leaders, facilitating critical decision-making within the company.

4. Market Data Analysis: The Compensation Manager will engage in regular benchmarking and market data analysis to contribute to the continuous development and administration of Angi’s compensation programs, providing necessary recommendations for adaptation.

5. Job and Pay Structure Cleanup: Another vital function will involve evolving compensation structures through auditing and revising the Job Code library, supporting leveling efforts across the firm.

6. Equity Administration and Team Leadership: The daily operations of equity compensation plans will fall under the purview of the Compensation Manager, including transaction processing, maintaining necessary records, ensuring compliance, and assisting participants. Once an Equity Analyst is hired, the manager will mentor and oversee their activities.

7. Process Improvement: A proactive approach toward enhancing compensation data accuracy and process efficiency is expected. The manager will also work collaboratively with People Operations and business leaders to refine processes related to off-cycle compensation alterations.
