The Compensation Manager position is a strategic role within Datavant’s Total Rewards team. The selected candidate will report directly to the Head of Total Rewards and serve as an individual contributor. The Compensation Manager's responsibilities are extensive, focusing on the following key areas:
Leadership of Compensation Programs: Manage compensation strategies from inception to execution, including communication and implementation.
Job Evaluation and Market Analysis: Conduct job evaluations and market pricing analyses to ensure internal fairness and competitiveness across various job categories and levels.
Expert Guidance: Provide expert consultation on complex compensation matters, collaborating with HR and business leaders to develop tailored solutions aimed at enhancing talent acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Compensation Tools and Models Development: Create and sustain compensation tools and dashboards that facilitate insights and informed decision-making.
Data Interrogation and Insights: Analyze compensation data to generate clear, data-driven recommendations and guidance for HR business partners and leadership.
Compliance and Change Management: Ensure that all compensation programs adhere to regulatory requirements and lead change management efforts regarding compensation practices within the organization.

The ideal candidate for the Compensation Manager role will need to possess a strong skill set, including:
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or HR analytics is essential.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling) is a must.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills capable of translating data into actionable insights.
Knowledge Base: In-depth understanding of compensation principles, salary structures, equity programs, and job leveling frameworks. Experience in interpreting market data and compensation surveys is also highly valued.

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or coursework towards certification.
