Collaborating closely with Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs), compliance officers, and risk teams to translate their requirements into effective monitoring frameworks.
Engaging constructively with senior stakeholders, especially MLROs, to challenge impractical or counterproductive rule proposals and providing persuasive feedback.
Documenting rule logic, data sources, and tuning methodologies clearly for audit readiness and comprehension by the team members.
Continuously assessing the performance of rule sets while making adjustments in response to emerging risks or changing regulatory landscapes.
Supporting ad-hoc reporting and queries through advanced SQL scripting related to compliance investigations.
The following essential skills are required for this role:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
Strong proficiency in SQL, with proven experience in crafting complex queries and managing data structures.
A solid understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, transaction monitoring principles, and compliance requirements particularly in the context of the cryptocurrency or financial services sectors.
Hands-on experience in designing and fine-tuning rule-based transaction monitoring systems, focusing on both accuracy and operational efficiency.
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Experience in fintech, crypto compliance, or financial services compliance environments will confer a significant advantage.
