Relevant experience in a similar role related to industrial control systems applications, particularly in manufacturing facilities and/or the nuclear sector.
Hands-on experience with systems like Rockwell/Allen Bradley Control Systems, and experience with specifying and designing control system hardware.
Familiarity with various I/O signal type interfaces with instrumentation, coupled with knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes.
Proficiency in using IT tools and software for control system design, such as AutoCAD Electrical and/or E-Plan.
A broad understanding of IEC standards related to control system design, such as the Machinery Directive, BS7671 IET Wiring regulations, IEC 61131, and IEC 61508/61511.
A proactive and self-starting nature, enabling effective collaboration across diverse engineering functions.
A degree or equivalent professional accreditation in an engineering discipline linked to Controls, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Software. Membership in a professional engineering institution (such as The IET) is preferable, and the pursuit of Chartered status is favored.
