As a pivotal figure in the program, the instructor will share industry knowledge, support students, and inspire them at every step.
In this role, you will lead a cohort of students through the Cybersecurity program. Tasks will include:
Conducting bi-weekly webinars focused on projects, guiding students in the practical application of cybersecurity concepts in real-world scenarios.
Reviewing students' projects and providing detailed constructive feedback within 24 hours of submission. This aspect requires partial and flexible availability during weekends.
Offering one-on-one mentoring sessions upon demand, specifically focused on the projects, to assist students in overcoming technical challenges and maintaining motivation.
Engaging with students via Discord, helping them solve problems and deepen their understanding of cybersecurity practices.
Acting as a key mentor, accompanying students as they develop their projects and enhance their cybersecurity skills.
Candidates are required to have at least three years of practical experience in cybersecurity. Essential knowledge areas include:
Network and Architecture: Understanding flat vs. segmented networks, DMZ, and strategies for reducing the attack surface and blast radius.
Authentication and Access Abuse: Awareness of risks related to privileged accesses and suspicious data exports.
Incident Analysis: Capable of investigating events like failed login attempts, password resets, and suspicious account activities, utilizing frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
Log Analysis: Experience in analyzing system and security logs to detect anomalies or suspicious behaviors.
Python Scripting: Ability to write scripts to process logs, count events, and extract useful information.
Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts clearly to beginners.
A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students starting in cybersecurity.
A minimum English proficiency level of B1 is required.
