Additionally, close coordination with the Data Serving team will be essential to ensure that data is readily available across multiple critical datastores, accommodating both real-time and asynchronous use cases.
The job involves several key responsibilities vital to the data platform organization:
Develop robust data pipelines and infrastructure focused on real-time processing, data integrity, and security.
Design systems and solutions for seamless integration of new datasets into the data platform.
Monitor scalability solutions, keeping in mind the growing data holdings.
Maintain the operational health of the systems, improving observability, reducing technical debt, and participating in the on-call process.
To apply for the Data Platform Data Engineer position, candidates should have:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development focusing on distributed data systems.
At least 2 years of experience with real-time processing and streaming technologies such as Redis streams, Kafka, or AWS Kinesis.
Over 2 years of experience maintaining production data systems, accompanied by on-call and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) support.
Must be a U.S. resident or citizen.
The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000, accompanied by equity and a 401K match. The individual salary within this range will depend on various factors such as experience, education, and relevant training.
