Key Responsibilities

• Design and build internal tools and applications to enhance the data science workflow.
• Own strategy and roadmap for improving data science workflows and tooling across the organization.
• Evaluate and implement AI capabilities in tooling, making use of frameworks such as MCP, RAG, and PydanticAI.
• Work with key tools such as Airflow, MLflow, and others to integrate operational and modelling best practices.
• Collaborate with various groups to promote MLOps best practices.
• Stay updated on developments in open-source data science frameworks and MLOps.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and ownership within the team.

Required Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong technical background with professional experience in building and maintaining Python-based data science and machine learning tooling. The preferred skills include:

• Proficiency with Git, Bash/shell scripting, and Python development tools such as FastAPI and pytest.
• Experience using workflow and modeling tools like Databricks, Airflow, and Celery.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-based tooling and techniques.
• An advanced understanding of predictive analytics and statistical diagnostics is also critical.

Candidates should have a strong educational background—typically a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field along with at least three years of experience, or a Master’s degree coupled with a minimum of six years of relevant experience. A Bachelor’s degree along with at least eight years of experience is also acceptable.
