Job Description
As the Director of Sales - Pharmacy, your primary responsibility will be to lead the sales efforts by utilizing your network of healthcare providers, such as doctors and general practitioners. The aim is to identify and fulfill patients' pharmaceutical needs by facilitating the direct shipment of medications through the pharmacy. This role encompasses both hands-on sales and high-level strategic leadership. Over time, you will build and manage a high-performing sales team to drive the organization's growth and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership and Strategy
Lead by Example: Be the frontline partner in driving sales activities by fostering strong relationships with doctors and healthcare providers to secure patient prescriptions.
Develop Sales Processes: Establish and continuously refine sales workflows and best practices to create a scalable and efficient framework as the team grows.
Team Building: Recruit, train, and mentor an ever-evolving team of sales representatives, ensuring they align with the Pharmacy's mission and objectives.
Market Development
Promote Pharmacy Services: Communicate the unique value proposition of the pharmacy solutions to healthcare providers, highlighting reliability and convenience.
Expand Market Presence: Strategically identify potential healthcare partners to broaden the network and increase market share.
Market Insights: Gather and analyze essential market intelligence to adapt strategies for the changing needs of healthcare providers and patients.
Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies regarding medication handling and patient data.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports on sales performance, market analysis, and team progress to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory, preferably in sales/marketing, healthcare, or a science-related field.
Experience
Leadership Experience: Proven track record in a sales leadership role with substantial experience in building and managing successful sales teams.
Industry Knowledge: Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Device sales, with special emphasis on dermatology, specialty pharmaceuticals, or immunology. Experience with injectable or office-administered biologics is an added advantage.
