The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of professional iOS development experience, with demonstrated contributions to shared UI libraries or design systems.
Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, along with familiarity with modern programming paradigms such as Combine, Swift Concurrency, and MVVM.
Solid understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) and accessibility standards like WCAG.
Experience with design-to-code workflows (e.g., Figma tokens, tooling integration).
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to unify engineers and designers.
A record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Familiarity with CI/CD, developer tooling, or automation focused on design system workflows.
In addition to the core requirements, candidates with the following will have an advantage:
Experience with scaling design systems across multi-platform environments (iOS, Android, Web).
Working knowledge of Objective-C or other mobile platforms.
Experience with the Android ecosystem is also a plus.
Knowledge of performance optimization, UI testing, or analytics instrumentation.
Contributions to open-source design systems or developer tools.
Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading cross-functional initiatives.
The salary for this role varies based on location and experience, specifically:
US Zone 2: Ranges from $195,800 to $265,000 USD.
US Zone 3: Ranges from $174,100 to $235,500 USD.
