Position Responsibilities

In the role of Data Engineer IV, you will be responsible for several key activities that contribute to the development and optimization of data systems within the organization, including:

  • Build, maintain, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, processing, and conversion of raw data into usable formats for analytics and reporting.

  • Manage and coordinate both internal and external data collection, normalization, and standard analysis across various platforms and projects.

  • Develop scalable data solutions that adhere to organizational goals and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

  • Create comprehensive plans, policies, and practices that ensure data protection, quality, delivery, and value across all data programs.

  • Investigate and address data quality issues while conducting root-cause analysis and implementing process improvements.

  • Design and execute complex data projects aimed at effective data management and visualization of large datasets.

The successful candidate will also maintain data architecture and information quality across applications, recommend enhancements to data structures and pipelines, and provide technical support for operational strategies.

Required Skills

For the Data Engineer IV position, the following qualifications and skills are essential:

  • Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required.

  • Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree with 8-10 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6-8 years of experience in a related field.

  • Advanced expertise in designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses, pipelines, and large-scale distributed data systems.

  • Strong proficiency in modern database technologies, ETL/ELT frameworks, and big data tools.

  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and develop scalable data solutions, apply data governance, quality management, and metadata management practices.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala is highly desirable.
