Position Overview

The role in consideration is that of Engineering Manager - SRE & Infrastructure (all genders). This position is crucial, as the chosen candidate will lead a specialized team responsible for the stable operation of software used by clients. Additionally, the team manages the infrastructure for internal services, such as CI/CD pipelines. The Engineering Manager will collaborate with other engineering managers and lead a compact team to ensure high process quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and Guiding Team Members: You will be pivotal in developing your team's skills through regular feedback sessions and one-on-one conversations.

  • Collaboration with Other Teams: Working closely with the Squad, E2E Product Manager, and other stakeholders, you will orchestrate the process to optimize both technical and functional roadmaps.

  • Managing Feature Requests: You will assess technical feasibility and coordinate internal requests for new features and requirements.

  • Agile Delivery Management: Overseeing software delivery within an agile environment, you will empower your squad to efficiently deliver software that provides high customer benefits.

  • Team Building: You will play a significant role in recruiting and identifying talent, designing individual development paths for team members.

  • Technical Input: Providing your expertise through code reviews and discussions of technical concepts will be essential.

  • Enhancing Technical Practices: You will bring new ideas into technical or organizational projects within the division.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a variety of skills, including:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead a cross-functional team of software developers at various experience levels, from juniors to staff engineers.

  • Cloud Application Management: Extensive experience in operating cloud applications on Kubernetes, familiar with distributed/containerized systems and microservices.

  • Problem-Solving in Complex Environments: Ability to navigate complex settings while working on challenging technical issues.

  • Diversity and Inclusivity in Team Building: Experience in creating and fostering diverse and inclusive teams through recruitment and team-building processes.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, with motivation to coach developers on their personal and professional journeys.

  • Familiarity with Tech Stack: Comfortable working with the company’s technology stack and maintaining knowledge of it.

  • Fluent in English: Proficiency in English is required, with a minimum level of C1.
