The selected candidate will be responsible for owning the entire customer engagement process—from initial prospecting through closing deals and ensuring customer success post-sale. This is a full-time remote role, although candidates must reside within the Southeast region.
Candidates for the Enterprise Account Executive role will undertake various responsibilities, which include but are not limited to:
Working with enterprise customers in several sectors to enhance their application security.
Managing customer engagements throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing and expanding accounts by increasing Semgrep product usage.
Following up on inbound leads promptly and qualifying opportunities efficiently.
Achieving quarterly goals through a combination of outbound calls, emails, demos, and trial setups.
Maintaining an organized pipeline and accurate forecasting while executing a strategic territory plan.
Collaborating closely with Customer Success and Product Management teams to ensure smooth onboarding and launch of products.
The ideal candidate should possess a blend of technical knowledge and sales expertise, specifically:
Proven sales experience, successfully selling security solutions to senior executives within large enterprises.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in conducting product demos.
A deep understanding of customer pain-points in application security and proficiency in articulating how Semgrep can address these challenges.
Tenacious sales skills, with a proactive attitude aimed at building a robust pipeline and advancing deals.
Resilience to travel for onsite meetings as required and have a flexible schedule for customer calls.
A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant sales experience in high-paced environments with a successful track record of meeting quotas.
Record of closing significant deals (6 or 7 figures) consistently in previous roles.
Familiarity with AppSec or early-stage startup environments is a plus.
Comfortable with collaborative tools like Slack, Google Suite, and video conferencing platforms, along with having the technical aptitude to become fluent in Semgrep’s offerings.
The salary for this role ranges from $125,000 to $150,000 per annum, with an additional uncapped on-target earnings (OTE) potential of between $250,000 to $300,000.
