Job Description

As a Field Service Engineer, the primary responsibility is to deliver both routine and emergency technical services at customer locations. The role also involves working with cutting-edge technologies in environments that require low temperatures, such as automated storage systems and transport robots. Responsibilities include:

  1. Resolving customer issues and adhering to service agreements at customer sites in Germany or other European locations.
  2. Conducting maintenance activities, software and hardware installations, upgrades, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  3. Analyzing issues, investigating root causes, and reporting corrective actions while monitoring system performance.
  4. Providing operational support for customer-managed samples and assisting with the transition from non-automated to automated systems.
  5. Collaborating with global teams to complete assignments and preparing reports, such as service and status updates.
  6. Being ready to respond to equipment failures or escalations as needed, maintaining rental equipment, and supporting administrative tasks such as cost estimations.

Required Qualifications

Candidates interested in this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A completed vocational training or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Practical experience in servicing or building electrical installations and machinery, preferably in automation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety protocols.
