The position we are offering is a 100% remote UI/UX Designer role, where you will join our remote-first team. As part of Files.com, you will work to build new designs and improve existing user experiences using modern technologies such as React and Gatsby.

Role Responsibilities and Expectations

The UI/UX Designer role at Files.com is comprehensive and critical. You will design and improve features used by hundreds of thousands of corporate users. Your key responsibilities include:

• Creating interaction design solutions and user journey designs from concept to production-ready, using tools like Figma.
• Designing and implementing graphic user interface elements such as menus, tabs, tables, and widgets.
• Participating in the gathering and evaluation of user requirements with product managers and engineers.
• Conducting usability testing and incorporating feedback to resolve design-related issues by writing JSX and advanced CSS.
• Documenting UI components in Storybook.js for standardization and consistency.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in design and development, particularly within software solutions. Ideal applicants should have 5+ years of experience, be proficient with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD, and be skilled in web development with a strong grasp of HTML, JS, CSS, and React.js.

Visual design skills, experience designing SaaS and B2B applications, and a strong design portfolio are essential. Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity for synthesizing ideas into concrete design solutions are also crucial.
