Job Description

The HR Coordinator will primarily focus on managing the HR operations for employees located in Canada and the U.S. This involves various responsibilities such as:

Managing benefits administration, processing changes related to employees, and handling compliance tasks among other HR functions.

Owning the onboarding and offboarding experiences, which covers everything from offer letters and welcome emails to conducting exit interviews and offering farewells to former employees.

Maintaining accurate employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), specifically ensuring that the HRIS used by GoSecure (which is ADP) is always up to date.

Conducting introduction calls with job candidates, scheduling interviews, and supporting the performance review cycles.

Being the first point of contact for employee queries regarding policies, benefits, time off, and other HR-related inquiries, ensuring that no question, no matter how trivial, goes unanswered.

Supporting cultural initiatives that boost employee engagement, such as organizing team events, managing employee recognition programs, and administering engagement surveys.

Generating reports, aiding in audits, and ensuring compliance tracking across Canada and the U.S. as necessary.

Collaborating with the HR Director to continuously improve the overall employee experience at GoSecure, making consistent strides in team morale and satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following qualifications:

A Diploma in Human Resources or related field with a specific focus on Administration.

At least three years of experience working in an HR, People Ops, or HR Coordinator role. Cross-border experience is a definite advantage.


A good understanding of Canadian and U.S. employment standards and benefits administration is essential.

Experience with HRIS systems, especially with an emphasis on ADP, will be beneficial.

Highly developed communication and organizational skills, compatible with a knack for checklists and time management.

A strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter, actively seeking solutions to issues instead of waiting for direction.

A positive, people-first attitude, showing care for employee experience and a willingness to go the extra mile.
