Position Overview

The position is for an IT System Engineer within the Professional Services department. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the IT System Engineer encompass several areas:

• Install, configure, and support dental software applications such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Sidexis, and Dexis.

3. Cloud & Backup Solutions:

• Configure local and cloud backup solutions, ensuring robust disaster recovery plans are established.

4. Technical Support:

• Provide exceptional technical support, swiftly resolving escalated client issues.

5. Vendor Coordination:

• Collaborate with dental technology vendors to ensure the integration of hardware and software for systems like digital imaging and X-ray machines.

6. Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of system configurations and procedures.

7. Client Communication:

• Manage client expectations and ensure project deliverables meet Medix’s high standards.

8. Teamwork and Ownership:

• Work closely with system engineers and project teams to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates need to possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work evening hours approximately 3-4 nights per month.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, time management abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
• A capacity for high levels of ownership and accountability for one’s own work and deliverables.
• Effective teamwork skills and clear communication capabilities.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in IT systems engineering, preferably in the dental sector.
• A strong understanding of networking, server management, and workstation deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:

• Experience with a Dental Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Relevant certifications in IT systems or engineering.

Compensation and Benefits
