Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be required to undertake various duties, including but not limited to:

• Designing and implementing scalable and secure microservices utilizing Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or MicroProfile.
• Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and backend services to comply with government performance and security standards.
• Integrating CMS with relational databases like Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Participating in cloud-first solution design with platforms such as AWS GovCloud.
• Contributing to DevSecOps pipelines using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like GitLab.
• Collaborating with Development, Security, and Infrastructure teams to meet compliance standards with the Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Health Agency (DHA).
• Supporting system documentation and security accreditation processes crucial for system Authorizations to Operate (ATOs).

Required Skills

Candidates looking to apply for this position should meet the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in Java development, particularly with technologies such as Linux and Java web containers (e.g., Jboss, Tomcat).
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or Eclipse MicroProfile.
• Strong experience in RESTful service design and implementation as well as proficiency in JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI, and REST standards.

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, and Bash is advantageous.
• Experience using container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Clearance Requirements

• Candidates must be U.S. citizens and must be willing to obtain a security clearance prior to beginning work in this role.
