Required Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a variety of skills and experiences:

• A high school diploma/GED with 6-15 years of experience, or an associate's degree with 4-13 years, or a bachelor’s degree with 2-7 years, or a master’s degree with 0-5 years, or a Ph.D./Doctorate with 0-3 years of experience
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, Scala, or Java
• Experience in SQL programming and constructing queries
• Familiarity with both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques
• Demonstrated experience in data mining and analysis
• Ability to perform training set construction and model development

Preferred qualifications include:

• Proficiency in statistical software packages like SAS, SPSS Modeler, or R
• Experience with unsupervised machine learning methods, including Cluster Analysis and Segmentation
• Familiarity with supervised methods such as Decision Trees, Support Vector Machines, and Neural Networks
• Experience in visualization tools (e.g., D3, Tableau, PowerBI)
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark

Clearance and Physical Requirements

The position also requires candidates to be U.S. citizens who can obtain DHS CBP suitability prior to starting the role.
