Avalere Health is seeking a Lead Medical Copywriter / Scientific Project Lead to work on various commercially-oriented medical projects. This role will involve both medical writing and copywriting, where the candidate must apply excitement and flair in creating scientifically and medically sound content. The ideal candidate should possess a strong scientific understanding along with a flair for narrative construction tailored to diverse audiences. Familiarity with brand and communication strategies is essential in providing engaging medical content.
The primary responsibilities include:
Leading medical writing and copywriting projects. You will develop promotional or scientific copy for various media.
Collaborating with creative directors on conceptual themes and campaign creatives.
Acting as a point of contact for clients, driving conversations and leading content strategy.
Ensuring that messaging is on-brand and aligns with overall strategy, while delivering accurate content.
Collaborating with art directors, production teams, and senior writers to create diverse scientific content, and presenting these projects when required.
Referencing and annotating all work in accordance with client review procedures.
Candidates should possess:
A background in medical communications, healthcare advertising, or marketing, with 3+ years of experience in these fields.
Experience with a range of medical communication projects that may include congress work, creative design, and co-creation of content.
Capability in producing both print and digital materials, including sales aids, brochures, eblasts, digital banners, and presentation decks.
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a scientific area or equivalent, with strong scientific grounding. Post-graduate research experience would be advantageous.
Excellent client service skills and a commitment to high quality.
Strong self-motivation, professionalism, detail orientation, and proficiency in both oral and written communication.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with advanced PC or Mac applications, particularly MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro, is required.
