Position Details

The Software Engineer will take on a contract position that allows creative freedom and self-management with minimal meetings and a high degree of individual agency in a fast-paced environment. Required Skills

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following technical skills:

• Experience in crafting and developing production-grade software systems.
• Proficiency in Python programming, including the latest language features, standard library, type hints, and commonly used developer tools.
• Familiarity with Django or another popular Python web framework to build APIs, such as Flask, Django REST framework, or FastAPI.
• Knowledge of CI/CD workflows, preferably utilizing GitHub Actions.
• Experience with application containerization, ideally with Docker.
• Understanding of cloud architecture design and provisioning, preferably using Google Cloud and Terraform.
• Proficiency in relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to work comfortably with Linux and utilize common tools effectively (including shells, package managers, etc.).

• Attention to detail and the ability to effectively deliver functioning software.
• Strong focus on technical simplicity and maintainability.
• Proficient problem-solving capabilities.

Optional Skills

While not required, the following skills are appreciated:

• Proficiency in German.
• Expertise in data engineering or data science, involving the deployment of data pipelines and AI/ML models.
• Experience with columnar databases or data warehousing technologies such as BigQuery, Redshift, or ClickHouse.
