Job Summary

The company is currently seeking a Manager, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), tasked with leading the FP&A team. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting SmithRx's growth and profitability by managing budgetary, forecasting, and financial analysis processes. The Manager will be integral in shaping strategic initiatives and will analyze financial and operational data to deliver insights and reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Manage the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes: This involves the formulation of budgets that accurately reflect the goals and objectives of the company.

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models: These financial models should support decision-making processes across various departments within the organization.

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics: The candidate is expected to assess these metrics to assist in driving operational outcomes effectively.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Ensuring alignment of financial plans with the company’s strategic objectives is crucial. Partnering with different departments is essential in this role.

  • Produce and deliver monthly/quarterly reports: These reports are essential for senior leadership decisions and will include presentations for the Board of Directors, illustrating the financial health and potential growth avenues of the business.

  • Support strategic initiatives: This includes evaluating and implementing new growth opportunities and fundraising activities.

  • Identify process improvements: Candidates will also help in discovering systems improvements to facilitate ongoing growth.

  • Coordinate with the Accounting team: Working closely with this team ensures the accuracy and alignment of actual financial performance with forecasts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, ideally within a SaaS or technology-driven business environment, provides relevant insights.

  • At least 2 years of management or leadership experience that showcases the candidate's ability to lead teams effectively.

  • Experience in building and maintaining intricate financial models will be crucial.

  • A commercial mindset that correlates financial metrics with business outcomes.

  • Strong communication skills: The ability to tell stories with data and influence stakeholders is a critical competency.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Google Workspace, along with FP&A or Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and management reporting is necessary.

  • Prior experience in the healthcare or health-tech industry will be advantageous, although not essential.
